Milla Jovovich by Carter Smith

Happy humpday! Today was better than almost any other day in the past two months. I hope everyone had a delightful Wednesday. Massively jealous of all of you who have break this week/next week... I can't seem to decide whether I should have spiels about spring fashion shows or if I should jump right into fall/winter '10, so during spring break I will be cramming in oodles of blog posts on spring so I can catch up.

In other news, Ky is one happy little Asian boy :D

Upper: Wisdom Animals by Andrew Zuckerman

Animals- we are all animals. Andrew Zuckerman is a fantastic American photographer who portrays animals in a light that redefines beauty. His recent book, "Bird", features the creepy, winged creatures in the most unadulterated manner. Very little text. Very little effects. The simple majesty of two wings spread across pages upon pages is all one needs to understand the bare beauty of nature.

Anthon Wellsjo & Peter Bruder by Andrea Spotorno

Yum. Melancholy! This editorial: somber. Amazing: the off-colors, the powdery, chalk white faces, the overall art direction, and the nonchalance of the incredibly tailored clothes.

Looking at menswear has reminded me that I really need to start thinking about prom. Gah! What will I wear? Powder blue tux with ruff and golden buckled shoes? A pilgrim suit? A plaid dinner suit? The possibilities are endl... Who am I kidding! I'm inevitably going to have to wear pants, a shirt, and a jacket. Why does menswear have to be so limiting! Angers me, truly does. Well, I guess I should start poking around for a well tailored suit.

One thing I can promise, though, is that I will not be caught renting a droopy, black tux last minute.

Satire or just plain ol' creeper status? You decide...

In other news, I feel like a child again with clear vision. Who knew some pieces of glass and plastic could be such magic? And who knew trees and stars are so mystifying? Not I!
little white dress
Boy, am I glad History is finally OVER. It feels so invigorating to be able to blog/live freely again... Yes, to blog means to live freely. I also get a little bonus: LOADS of Chanel quotes and a much deeper analytical understanding of 20th century fashion. Onwards!

"Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have already said that black has it all.
White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony" Coco Chanel

While we're on the topic of invigoration... Chanel gave us the little black dress, but this spring, look forward for the little white dress. Don't believe me? Well, take a peep at these ten shows that featured white dresses a flouncin', and also take note that this is a mere fraction of shows that offered a blank slate in the form of little white dresses.

Oh and, please excuse me for abominating the models' crotches and disrupting your perfect view of the blank slates with the collection names/photographers... Enjoy!
